Michelle Fowler & Jennafer Bryan, live and work in Charleston, SC. They purchase their materials from suppliers worldwide, using sterling silver, 14k gold filled findings, precious and semi-precious stones, and they especially love looking for antique and unusual vintage pieces that they can reinvent into something modern and fresh. The Scarlet Poppy jewelry can be identified by its unique color combinations, and its never ending designs.

Whether it’s with a multi-strand necklace, a reinvented vintage piece, or a pair of stunning earrings, they always know how to make a statement with their one of a kind pieces.

March 4, 2009 - Charleston City Paper's 2009 Critics Pick for "Best Place to Find Reinvented Vintage Jewelry"

- "Local jewelry designers Michelle Fowler and Jennafer Bryan have cultivated quite a following of loyal ladies who can't get enough of their unique designs. They own the Scarlet Poppy, and their creations are just as pretty as the name. They may not have a shop, but you can find them at the Farmer's Market in Marion Square where they will gladly tell you the history behind each one-of-a-kind piece. All of their lovely baubles are on display, but it's the reinvented vintage necklaces that take center stage. They use precious, semi-precious, antique, and vintage pieces from around the world (think exotic locales like Tibet) to create jewelry that really makes a statement. Once you find out the past behind your vintage Persian hand-painted necklace, you'll never want to take it off." — By Candice Summers
